Another Woman Senselessly Murdered

Seventeen year old Chelsea King just wanted to go for a jog and return home. That's all. But she never got the chance.
She was brutally assaulted and murdered allegedly by a REPEAT sexual offender.
Women in our society today more than ever need to learn how protect themselves in the event of assault. I will keep preaching that until every woman knows or I die, whichever comes first.
I am not talking about traditional martial arts. I am talking about street smarts and reality based self defense. Unfortunately traditional martial arts are good for sport and fitness but are basically ineffective for personal protection in the real world.
Most martial arts instructors have never been in a fight for their lives and have no clue what is needed to survive in such a situation.
How can I say this? Because, I have trained in the traditional arts and I know how effective they are in the real world and I have also had to fight for my life as a violent crimes, in progress crimes, and tactical investigator for the Chicago Police Dept.
After hearing of another innocent child being senselessly killed, it has been placed upon my heart to offer Rape Awareness and Prevention training FREE.
I am aware in these economic times money is an issue. So I will not allow that to prevent a woman from knowing how to protect herself.
I make sure that my wife knows how to protect herself. I make sure that she can handle me. Am I paranoid? No, just aware.
I know what is going on in the streets no matter where you live. I was out there dealing with violent criminals on a daily basis.
Chelsea King did not pick a morally destitute and crime ridden area to go jogging. She was in an affluent "safe" area. Unfortunately, there is no such place as safe as long as you are on planet earth. Not even in your own home.
Truth in sentencing laws, three strikes and you are out, have taken sex offenders to a whole new level. Most are repeat offenders and therefore if they leave a witness they will go back to jail for life. So what do they do? They kill their victims. Odds are if a woman is sexually assaulted, she will be murdered.
