JKD Class Schedule

Our JKD training is taught only in small group sessions. Two to four students per class maximum.
This is to insure that Bruce's art is not watered down or corrupted in any way.
Our instructor, Elliott W. Woodards, is a certified instructor and member of the Descendants Of The Masters and was taught in private sessions by both Paul Vunak and Matt Numrich. Paul Vunak is the President and founder of the Descendants Of The Masters. Matt Numrich is one of only a handful of certified "Full Instructors of JKD and Filipino Martial Arts" in the Midwest.
Paul Vunak is a direct descendant of Dan Inosanto. Dan Inosanto is one of Bruce Lee's original students and co-founded Jeet Kune Do with Bruce Lee.
This JKD program is in no way connected to the self defense classes offered with the personal training sessions.
It is Full Functional JKD and Filipino Martial Arts.
You will be expected to meet certain criteria before advancing to any level. No advancement will be awarded without proper technique and execution.
It is taught in our private studio located in Gurnee to insure attention to detail. We will also teach at your own private location.
This is not your typical "martial arts nursery school" where belts and rank are handed out willy-nilly to keep students whether they are qualified or not.
This is serious street fighting, reality based self defense that is practical for the street in real world situations.
