We instruct women how to protect themselves in the event of attempted abduction or assault.
We give easy to learn maneuvers that are not difficult to execute and are effective.
We instruct women it is not their duty to fight with a man but to create a means of escape.
We give instruction on self control in any given situation. Because once the mind gives up, all is lost no matter how many self defense maneuvers you learn.
Most self defense courses have women doing silly things that will not work effectively in real world situations.
Most self defense instructors have never been in a fight for their lives in the street and therefore don't know if their system even works.
Our instructor, Elliott W. Woodards, has a background dealing with violent criminals on a regular basis as a Chicago Police Officer.
He has experienced many physical altercations, including shootings, on the streets. He knows what works and what doesn't.
Like all of our self defense programs, our Rape Awareness and Prevention course is based upon our Reality Based Self Defense/Jeet Kune Do program.
It differs from our basic Jeet Kune Do program because you not only get self defense/rape prevention instruction but also an informational seminar to inform you of the dangers facing women in this society and how to recognize and avoid them.

I just finished the Women's Self Defense Special course with both Elliot and Kim and it was one of the best experiences in my life! They are both sweet and gentle people but they really teach you how to defend yourself in any situation that may someday save your life or anothers. I took this course because I wanted the security, confidence, and just knowledge about self-defense and rape awareness so I could be prepared for whatever situation might come my way and know exactly how to react. Elliot and Kim taught me those things and much more. It was such a pleasure and really informative to work with them both. I wish every woman out there would take this class because far too many times you think about taking a class like this after the fact. Don't let yourself become a victim by not getting the training you need to keep yourself safe and those you love safe. I would recommend this class to anyone, male or female, young or old. Because it doesn't matter who you are, you can be a victim and even lose your life. Don't be another one among the statistics and don't fool yourself thinking it will never happen to you, prepare yourself and protect your future, your life. I would take this class again if nothing else but to get all my stress out beating up a dummy, or learning Jeet Kune Do. Equip yourself with the survival tools you need in any attack. Elliot and Kim are wonderful teachers and honest people. I highly recommend them!
